Roger Hoit is a talented golfer and photographer with impressive accomplishments. He won the Metropolitan Golf Association IKE Stroke Play Championship in 2006, the Baltusrol Invitational four times and several other major amateur golf events. Throughout his golfing career, Roger has won over 30 Club Championships at Baltusrol Golf Club and Eastward Ho! In addition to his love of golf, Roger is an avid photographer who produces stunning images across all types of media, from SLR to drone and iPhone photography. Roger’s work has even been exhibited in a show called “The Eyes of Africa” at the DeCastellane Gallery in Brooklyn, NY.
Roger is married to Gentry Ashmore Hoit, and they have been happily married for 33 years. The couple resides in Delray Beach, FL, where Gentry has had a successful commercial real estate career. She currently holds the position of Chief Strategy Officer for Transcendant Electra, Miami, FL, a division of Electra America located in West Palm Beach, FL. Together, Roger and Gentry have two accomplished children. Morgan Hoit, their eldest child, is the Associate Director of Social Media for Atria Books at Simon & Schuster, a leading publishing house. She is also the creator of @nycbookgirl and resides in New York City. Jackson Hoit, their youngest child, is an Associate at Moelis & Company, where he focuses on deals in Gaming, Lodging, and Real Estate. He also lives in New York City.
Roger graduated from Amherst College, where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. At Amherst, he was the Captain of the Men’s Tennis Team and competed in the NCAA Div 3 National Tennis Championships as an Individual. Before attending Amherst, Roger graduated from Milton Academy in 1982. In addition to his love of golf and photography, Roger has other passions, including travel, playing guitar, fitness, and technology. Overall, Roger is a well-rounded and accomplished individual who has succeeded in multiple areas of his life.
